Adults
get involved in Scouting through their participation as a Scout when they
were young or through their role as a parent of their child.
Children change our lives and introduce us to many wonderful people and things that we would otherwise miss in our lives. Their joys, challenges, sorrows and victories are things we get to share as we grow as parents, providers and members of our communities.
Scouting provides you with an opportunity to spend time with your child and to learn things that will help you grow spiritually, intellectually and physically. Many of our leaders have rediscovered their faith in God, become more competent at home and work, and improved their physical conditioning by simply participating in their child's Scouting experience. It is another reason to consider your child a "blessing".
In addition to the Scouting activities that your child does, there are additional training courses that are available to adults involved in the Cub Scout Pack, Boy Scout Troop and Venture Crew. These course will equip you with both Scouting knowledge and knowledge that you can use at home, work and in the community.
Please
consider looking into the courses that are available throughout the year.
